This opportunity is for an experienced registered nurse with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and orthopedic trauma care. The role is based in High Point, NC, on a contract basis, offering a structured schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM), alternating every other week, including holiday and evening coverage during holiday periods.
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of nursing experience and must not be first-time travelers. petency in managing orthopedic trauma and elective surgery patients, specifically pre-operative and post-operative care related to total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, is essential. Familiarity with rapid response teams and safe patient handling equipment is required, alongside proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records. The nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 1 : 6, with potential stretch to 1 : 7.
