Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a Transportation Design Project Manager to lead and assist in the development of transportation design projects and plans in the Raleigh, NC area.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as Project Manager for transportation design projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and production of roadway and transportation projects, including municipal and state DOT work
• Act as a primary point of contact with NCDOT, municipalities, subconsultants, and internal teams
• Provide technical oversight and quality control for plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Apply strong engineering judgment in resolving design challenges and coordinating across disciplines (roadway, drainage, traffic, utilities, and survey)
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and teamwork
• Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client engagement as needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT standards, manuals, and project delivery processes
