[job_card.job_description]5+ years of backend development experience. Strong programming skills in C and Go (Golang). Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and core computing fundamentals. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Ability to work full-time onsite in Chicago. Experience with security- or privacy-focused systems. Linux systems knowledge and scripting experience. Understanding of cryptographic principles or secure development practices. Familiarity with PHP or Laravel.
Our client is a fast-growing technology company building next-generation security and privacy solutions. They are seeking a highly skilled Backend Services Engineer to join their engineering team onsite in Chicago. This role is hands-on and focused on designing and implementing core backend systems critical to their platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that support the companys security and privacy architecture.
- Re-architect the existing licensing engine and packaging workflows into scalable, production-ready services.
- Work closely with security, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver efficient, reliable backend solutions.
- Contribute to the technical design and direction of backend projects from concept through deployment.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and code quality.
