Location : Pearland, TX

Pay Rate : $20 / hr

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 6 : 30 AM-6 : 30 PM

Overview

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced Cast Specialist to join a busy orthopedic team in Pearland, TX. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in hands-on casting skills, thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, and enjoys working directly with patients to support their orthopedic care and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

As a key clinical support member, you will :

• Prepare, apply, adjust, and remove casts and splints under physician direction.
• Assist physicians with fracture reductions, wound care, and procedural support .
• Fit and apply orthopedic appliances including braces, crutches, and durable medical equipment.
• Perform accurate measurements for custom braces and ensure proper device selection.
• Provide clear patient education on cast care, mobility, and safe equipment use .
• Set up and adjust traction systems , ensuring safe and proper alignment.
• Maintain a fully stocked, organized cast room and manage DME inventory.
• Support billing processes by coordinating required patient data for specialty equipment .
• Uphold safety standards, infection control requirements, and quality improvement practices.
