Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Dover, DE is seeking five Special Education Teachers to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time, contract position offers a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible through June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-12
  • Manage the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, including creating, updating, and implementing IEPs
  • Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings with parents, staff, and related service providers
  • Collaborate closely with the Special Education department team to support student success and compliance with educational standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure
  • Experience working with K-12 students with special needs
  • Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and legal requirements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with staff and families
