TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures and assist physicians in the evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role plays a vital part in the early detection of heart abnormalities and in supporting cardiology teams with high-quality imaging.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic exams including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow studies according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Assist in stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and contrast studies as needed.
• Position and prepare patients for procedures while explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Analyze and interpret preliminary echocardiographic findings for cardiologist review.
• Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of images, measurements, and patient data in electronic medical records.
• Maintain and clean equipment according to infection control and safety standards; report malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, and diagnostic teams to coordinate patient care efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in cardiovascular technology or diagnostic medical sonography.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent credential from ARDMS or CCI.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing cardiac ultrasounds in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
• Proficient with echocardiographic equipment and PACS systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
