[job_card.job_description]Unload, receive, verify, and stock all incoming product from vendors.
Pull and prepare customer orders for shipping, using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Ensure that all merchandise is safely packed and properly labeled for shipping.
Keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
Safely transport merchandise to the shipping bay, and load trucks for delivery of product direct to customer.
Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (e.g., forklifts) to move and organize inventory within the warehouse.
Assist with basic Pipe Shop and Machine Shop tasks such as cutting, threading, grooving, or preparing pipe and related materials using standard shop equipment.
Perform routine maintenance checks on shop equipment (e.g., threading machines, saws) and report issues as needed.
Ensure that warehouse is kept organized, secure, safe, and clean in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
Observe all safety policies and procedures.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Proficient math skills to facilitate accurate and quick assessment of data.
Plumbing and/or heating knowledge a plus.
Basic Pipe Shop or Machine Shop experience preferred (e.g., operating cutting, threading, or grooving equipment).
Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Certification or willingness to obtain certification for Powered Industrial Truck operation.
Physical Demands
May occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
Regular use of arms, hands, and fingers to feel, grasp, type, and reach.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
Work Environment
Warehouse atmosphere. Employees may be exposed to moving machinery, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
