Overview

The Insulation Technician is an individual contributor position familiar with the craft discipline and is recognized for possessing a mechanical aptitude and safe work ethic within our CB&I Storage Solutions Insulation Group. The role is responsible for maintaining industrial / construction equipment, as well as set up and operation of machinery in the field used to insulate various CB&I Storage Tanks both domestically and internationally while observing and complying with all CB&I safety procedures. Willingness to learn and work independently with minimal supervision. The role reports to the Insulation Manager. Responsibilities

  • Basic equipment maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical aptitude - experience working on a variety of motors, pumps or compressors
  • Polyurethane foam and or paint spraying.
  • Equipment shipments, set-up, operation and breakdown on site.
  • Installation of Proprietary Insulation Systems on Storage Tanks.
  • Follow and promote safety first work ethic
  • Coordinate with other roles and functions on project teams HSES, Construction Managers, Clients.
  • Forecast how long it will take to do a task - commit to definitive deadlines.
  • Generate improvement ideas for tools and workflow associated to the role.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card
  • Ability to travel 50%

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant working experience construction, mechanical or insulation type role or technical school.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge - Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Field crew experience- supervisory a plus
  • Excellent time management

Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.     Pay Range USD $59,769.00 - 71,722.00 Annually
