[job_card.job_description]Provide trauma surgery support and inpatient rounding Assist in first-assist duties when applicable Perform critical care rounding on trauma patients Collaborate with trauma surgeons, hospitalists, and the multidisciplinary team Manage daily patient evaluations, documentation, orders, and care planning Respond to trauma consults as needed Average Daily Census : 10 patients NH State Licensed : PA or APRN Board Certified or Board Eligible ATLS and ACLS certifications required Experience in trauma, acute care surgery, or critical care strongly preferred Ability to work independently within scope while collaborating with attending physicians Familiarity with trauma protocols and inpatient hospital workflows
A facility in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an experienced Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site trauma coverage, assist in critical care rounds, and support surgical teams as needed. This role includes both weekday and weekend shifts with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour schedules. First-assist experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Coverage
- Monthly Requirements : Up to 8-9 days of on-site trauma coverage / backup coverage
- Shift Options :
- 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
- 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM
- Coverage Days : Monday-Friday with weekend coverage as needed
- Setting : Trauma APP coverage for inpatient rounding
