This position manages entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of support employees in Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering. Sets day-to-day goals, and provides guidance regarding specification requirements, improving products, and reducing costs. This role will have oversight of the three work streams in Evere Lavatories, Waste and Water systems, and Cabin Integration. This role is eligible for relocation and can have up to 25% Travel.

What You Will Do

• Instructs, directs, and checks under general direction, the work of manufacturing / industrial engineers to ensure that quality and manufacturing standards are met.
• Identifies opportunities or implements changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
• Designs the sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment, and other functions that affect product performance, to ensure efficiency and optimize performance.
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques to enhance performance and manufacturing capabilities.
• Manage a team of entry to professional level engineers, with the freedom to determine how assignments are completed
• Mentor team members, set objectives and guide others on approach and execution to achieve business results
• Ensure adherence to standard work
• Lead cross functional teams to solve complex issues
• Provide technical leadership to develop statistical process control and digital manufacturing execution systems
• Responsibility for identifying and implementing Capital Expenditure projects
• Ensure the protection of Collins Aerospace and safeguard of customer and supplier / partner intellectual property.
• Lead ME / IE team on shop floor problem solving and support

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
