Truck Driver and Warehouse Material Handler summary

Are you a skilled CDL truck driver ready to transition from OTR to a more balanced and rewarding role? Do you have valuable warehouse experience and a desire for stability and growth in Lubbock, TX? Our client, a well-established leader in the industrial services sector, is seeking a Truck Driver and Material Handler to join their dedicated and dynamic team. Position Overview

In this hybrid role, you will ensure the efficient delivery of materials to local customers while supporting warehouse operations. From operating forklifts to maintaining an organized workspace, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Operate company-provided Bobtail Trucks to deliver products to customers in Lubbock, Wolfforth, and Abernathy areas.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading / unloading equipment.
  • Verify incoming materials against vendor packing lists, reporting discrepancies when necessary.
  • Stage and store materials efficiently based on inventory turnover and storage requirements.
  • Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard area.
  • Adhere to all safety and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) security protocols.

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience : At least 1 year of forklift operation in a warehouse or shop environment (Class I, IV, V, or VII).
  • License : A valid Class A Driver's License.
  • Education : High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills : Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to safety.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Tolerate varying outdoor conditions, including heat, wind, and rain.
