Position: Recreation Aide
Location: Buena Vida Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Part-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (must be flexible and able to work weekends)
Pay Rate: $23.48/hour
About the Role:
Buena Vida Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Recreation Aide to join our team. This role plays an important part in enhancing residents’ quality of life through engaging activities and meaningful social interaction.

Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
Knowledge of documentation such as MDS, progress notes, and care plans
Energetic, enthusiastic, and a strong team player
Prior experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and facilitating recreational activities for residents.
Lead group and individual activities that promote socialization and engagement.
Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Provide one-on-one assistance to residents as needed.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
Collaborate with staff to tailor activities to meet individual needs.
