The Technical Specialist will provide technical and regulatory expertise to the team as it ensures that all business units meet regulatory, corporate, and local compliance requirements for the export jurisdiction and classification determination and import HTS classification of all commodities, software, items of information and related services being exported from, or imported into the U.S. / ppEssential Functions : / pulliPerform as a proactive, self-motivated, highly organized Team player with the ability to handle shifting priorities. / liliDetermine the jurisdiction and classification as well as Schedule B of commodities, software, information and related services in support of export operations and HTS classification in support of import operations. / liliObtain export Commodity Jurisdiction determinations and Commodity Classification Request results, as needed. / liliReview supplier and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) classifications and document internal concurrence or re-classification for export and / or import. / liliSupport engineering teams across the IMS business units with application of design for export concepts. / liliSupport the monitoring, maintenance, and retention of records and documentation used for jurisdiction and classification determinations and HTS classifications in accordance with regulations and L3Harris policy. / liliSupport compliance audits and assessments. / liliSupport development and presentation of appropriate training for L3Harris staff, including engineering and supply chain stakeholders. / liliAnalyze, evaluate, and develop input to existing and new processes and procedures. / liliCommunicate effectively and professionally (orally in person or telepresence (Teams and Zoom) and in writing) at all levels of the organization. / liliMake decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. / liliPerform duties with minimum supervision and participate in cross-functional projects as assigned. / liliSupport up to 10% travel domestically and internationally. / li / ulpQualifications : / pulliBachelors Degree in an engineering or related technical field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
