Job Summary
Join our dynamic Nurse Residency Program designed specifically for new graduate nurses! This program is your pathway to a rewarding nursing career where you will refine your skills in a supportive learning environment. As a Nurse Resident, you will attend crucial training classes, engage in professional development workshops, and complete clinical competencies under the supervision of our Clinical Education Team.
Cohort Start Date : February 2026
Must graduate 45 days or more prior to the start date.

Essential Functions
- Adhere to Prisma Health's core values : Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
- Collect and document patient data accurately, demonstrating critical thinking skills under the supervision of a licensed RN.
- Develop and revise care plans in collaboration with the patient / family and multidisciplinary teams under the guidance of a licensed RN.
- Ensure care delivery aligns with accepted standards, explaining procedures to patients and advocating for their needs.
- Record care provided and any necessary changes, reporting observations related to patient conditions under supervision.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and address any identified issues responsibly under the mentorship of a licensed RN.
- Complete all clinical skills and competencies as required, with direct supervision from a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This position does not involve management responsibilities and will report to a supervisor or manager.Minimum Requirements
Education : Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program; Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience : No previous experience required; candidates with over 12 months of experience are ineligible.In Lieu Of
Temporary licenses may be accepted in place of full RN licensure upon receiving certification and NCLEX testing date, working directly under the preceptor’s supervision until passing.As of January 1, 2019, all new hires must have an ADN or BSN from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the SC State Board of Nursing.Required Certifications
Licensed to practice as an RN in South Carolina.BLS certification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
