We are looking for a Master-Level Automotive Mechanic to join our premier service center in Montclair. This isn't just a role for a "parts changer"—we are seeking a diagnostic expert and technical leader who takes pride in solving the most complex mechanical puzzles. With a focus on advanced diagnostics, we need a team player with some commons sense and technical excellence and we expect you to perform the work with honesty and integrity.

Advanced Responsibilities

• Complex System Overhaul: Lead the diagnosis and repair of intricate engine and transmission systems across domestic and import vehicles.

• Master-Level Diagnostics: Utilize advanced scanning tools and oscilloscopes to troubleshoot electrical and drivability issues that others can't solve.

• Precision Suspension Work: Perform expert-level suspension diagnostics and geometric alignments for optimal vehicle dynamics.

• Quality Control: Execute comprehensive final inspections, ensuring every vehicle leaving the shop is in peak condition.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise: Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in an automotive repair environment.

• Certification: ASE Master Technician certification is highly preferred.

• Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with shop equipment, including hydraulic lifts, tire machines, and sophisticated diagnostic computers.

• Problem-Solving DNA: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a deep mechanical aptitude for both modern and classic systems.

• Efficiency & Grit: Ability to maintain high productivity in a fast-paced, high-volume Montclair shop while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
