Structural Forensic Engineer

We are looking to hire an experienced Forensic Structural Engineer located in Florida for our structural forensics team. This position is hybrid, requiring at least one day a week in our Lakeland office until the candidate is up to speed, whereupon they can work remotely if desired. The position requires travel throughout Florida multiple days per week.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree or greater in a Civil Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in FL
- 1+ year(s) experience conducting structural forensic engineering investigations
- Ability to climb on roofs and traverse through attics and crawlspaces
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently or in a 2 or 3 person team
- Ability to ride / drive in vehicles multiple days per week throughout Florida, with occasional overnight stays
- Clean driving record and criminal history
- Professional appearance and hygiene
Responsibilities :
Conduct on-site investigations to determine the cause of failures, damage, or defects to buildings and componentsCollect field data, photographs, measurements, etcPrepare technical reports and documentation to support investigation findingsCommunicate clearly and effectively with clients and othersProvide testimony regarding your findings in depositions or trialsMaintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles responsibly during fieldworkMaintain a constant level of professionalism and decision making consistent with the Oath of an EngineerStay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices in structural forensic engineeringWhat We Offer :
