Summary

The Outpatient (OP) Therapist is responsible for managing the therapeutic aspects of their client’s treatment program and ensuring it complies with state regulations and JCAHO standards. This role includes providing both individual and group therapy sessions, conducted primarily through telehealth and in-person. The OP Therapist's primary objectives are to assess client needs, develop personalized treatment plans, help clients recognize their behavioral health challenges, motivate them to actively engage in their own recovery, and equip them with therapeutic skills and knowledge to improve their lives. Additionally, the OP Therapist is responsible for therapeutically aiding clients transitioning from in-person care to telehealth. The OP Therapist monitors client progress, provides counseling and crisis intervention, and collaborates with Clinical Team to ensure comprehensive care. Their goal is to empower clients to achieve lasting sobriety and a healthier mindset by developing proper coping skills and maintaining motivation.

Shift :

Friday-Tuesday (Saturday-Sunday remote / Friday, Monday-Tuesday in office)

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive professional relationships and boundaries with clients, staff, physicians, visitors, and team members.
• Facilitate transition to various treatment options for clients currently at the OP level of care (LOC).
• Identify and prioritize individual needs and problems of the patient specific to the OP LOC.
• Conduct daily check-ins with clients
• Attend Treatment Team meetings.
• Collaborate with staff to conduct clinical assessments.
• Work effectively as a team member with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Adapt to facility needs and manage stressful conditions effectively.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Accept constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Take corrective action when necessary to resolve issues.
• Adhere to the code of ethics, legal standards of practice, professional standards, duty to warn, and reporting policies for abuse and neglect, maintaining professionalism.
• Participate in Clinical Supervision, if required.
• Can model appropriate boundaries for clients
• Collect information about clients, using techniques such as assessments, tests, interviews, discussions, and observations.
• Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
• Conduct one on one sessions with clients, meet with families and conduct groups both i primarily via telehealth and also in-person.
• Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status.
• Conduct daily check-ins with clients assigned caseload (weekdays).
• Provide detailed progress notes for each client.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment.
• Prepare and maintain all charts, program documentation, incident reports, and other forms / reports and are completed according to the following criteria : Timely; within 72 hours of provided service.  Objectively, (behavioral observations are recorded accurately) thoroughly, and legibly
• Treatment plan goals are developed together with the client and are time-limited, observable, measurable, achievable, and developed with the client.
• Knowledge of applicable treatment modalities for behavioral disorders.
• Knowledge and practice of professional ethical guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Capable of understanding the clinical needs and implications of client’s behavioral disorders.
• Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety of staff and clients.

The pay range for this role is :

$35.00-$40.00 USD per hour (Fully licensed-LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)

$30.00-$34.50 USD per hour (Associates-ACSW, AMFT, APCC)

The pay range for this role is :

35 - 40 USD per hour(Santa Ana)
