Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships between hospital management and the medical staff, as well as recruiting new physicians.

In addition, the CMO interacts and collaborates on a daily basis with key members of the Administrative team. This position will be responsible for writing policies and leading efforts to improve patient care.

• MD or DO degree, completed residency training in a recognized specialty, board certification in the specialty of training.
• Management degree is strongly preferred ( (MBA, MHA, MMM, MPH).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Must have knowledge of hospital structure, operations, and infrastructure of quality and utilization.
• Requires expertise with medical staff processes, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in the recruitment and mentoring of staff physicians.
