Continuous Improvement Manager Caledonia MI

Salary Range : $86000 - $132000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the manufacturing plant.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization waste reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Train coach and mentor employees at all levels on continuous improvement principles and tools.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Standardize best practices and ensure their consistent application throughout operations.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to solve complex operational problems and implement sustainable solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Operations Management or a related technical field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in applying Lean principles (e.g. VSM Kaizen 5S SMED TPM) and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and foster a continuous improvement mindset.

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Master Black Belt certification or equivalent advanced Lean practitioner qualification.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) or advanced data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Continuous Improvement methodologies with Industry 4.0 initiatives automation or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Background in other manufacturing functions such as Supply Chain Engineering or Quality.
