Basic understanding of debits, credits, and accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. This position is 100% onsite.

Salary : $20 / hour-$23 / hour
Position Summary :
We are seeking an Accounting Associate with 1-3 years of experience to support our daily accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in finance and accounting while contributing to a dynamic, hands-on team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process and calculate timecards and assist with payroll processing.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Record and deposit customer payments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support credit card reconciliation and compliance with travel & entertainment policies.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing.
- Maintain vehicle registration and insurance records.
- Assist with Virginia Sales and Use Tax filings (a plus, not required).
- Prepare basic financial reports and KPI summaries.
- Help with general filing, account reconciliations, and administrative support.
