Job Details Key Responsibilities Collaborate with medical, clinical, and therapeutic leaders to foster a patient-centered, team-oriented culture that delivers exceptional care and outcomes. Develop, implement, and oversee patient care programs, policies, and procedures that ensure nursing care, treatment, and services are effectively assessed, delivered, and evaluated. Represent nursing leadership on key committees such as the Governing Body, Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee, Infection Control, Education, and Ethics, as appropriate. Promote cultural diversity and maintain an inclusive, respectful, and professional work environment. Build and sustain a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence by clearly communicating the organization’s mission, motivating teams, and driving performance measurement and improvement. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state regulations, rehabilitation nursing standards, and hospital accreditation requirements. Utilize acuity-based staffing models to align patient needs with budgeted nursing hours per patient day (NHPPD). Integrate complex clinical, operational, and financial data to inform decision-making, optimize patient outcomes, promote wellness, manage illness, and reduce complications. Recognize and celebrate the achievements of nursing staff and patient successes. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in accordance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred). Commitment to obtain CRRN certification within one year of eligibility. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (advanced degree or plan to obtain one preferred, unless otherwise defined by state regulation). Minimum of five years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting. At least two years of recent nursing leadership or management experience, including 24-hour accountability, FTE oversight, policy and procedure development, budget management, and disciplinary action.
