Talascend is currently seeking a Buyer for a contract opportunity in Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:
Support and/or lead key contract negotiations, including completing costs analyses and negotiations on terms and conditions
Managing work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of purchase documents
Supplier operations and relationship management within commodity group
Cost reduction / cost management to support the companies cost targets
Support and/or lead development and execution of commodity strategies

Requirements:
Associate degree with 4+ years of operational, procurement or logistical experience, OR
Bachelor's with 2+ year of operational, procurement or logistical experience
6+ years of operational, procurement or logistical experience in lieu of a degree
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
Previous procurement for government experience
Adept with technical knowledge
Purchasing experience in a global environment
SAP Experience

Top 3 Skills
Past experience with government procurement in the aerospace or medical procurement
MPV Material Price Variance - to be able to adjust actual charges to POs based on increases and decreases of materials
Attitude, Energy and Speed - They would like someone that see issues, plan and perform the actions to complete. That action in many cases, may be to delegate to POC Buyers or to implement the action independently
8am-4:30pm - some occasional need to communicate with UK in the morning prior to normal 8am-4:30pm
