11.5 hour shift - 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break.
Job Description
The Pediatric ICU (PICU) is seeking a skilled nurse to join their team. This unit is equipped with 11 beds and has telemetry capability, plus additional surge bed capacity managed by the same ICU-trained staff. The nurse will care for critically ill children in an environment that handles cases such as respiratory failure, trauma, surgical cases, sepsis, and neurosurgical complications.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor patients' critical conditions and maintain telemetry capabilities.
- Float to Pediatric Emergency Room as needed, maintaining flexibility in duties.
- Work in a nurse-to-patient ratio varying from 1 : 1, 1 : 2, or 1 : 3 based on patient acuity.
