Job Summary :
Responsible for general facility maintenance and repair work. Duties include repairing and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildgings. Responsible to perform both scheduled and unscheduled repairs. Position requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities.
Essential Functions :
- Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings
- Perform installations, general maintenance and repair to equipment and buildings
requiring knowledge (but not proficiency) in such a wide cross-section of trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and general maintenance
Repair or replace electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and motorsPerform general facility repairs including but not limited to : replacing electricalreceptacles, wires, switches, fixtures and motors; hanging and repairing drywall, plastering or compounding holes and cracks and ceilings; installing, repairing or replacing sinks, and plumbing fixtures; sanding, priming, and painting structures and equipment; installing, repairing or replacing concrete structures, floors; installing and replacing damaged panels, ceiling tiles and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing locksets; replacing broken windows; performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; removing debris; moving furniture and equipment; and performing other general maintenance and repair.
Inspect and diagnose problems and determine appropriate corrective actionsPerform routine preventive maintenance as requiredAssemble and set up furniture, machinery or equipmentRefill hand sanitizer stations and replace dispenser batteriesAbility to read and understand facility blueprints and / or technical diagramsPerform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties as requiredOrder parts, supplies and materialsKeep detailed records of daily work performedUse and maintain equipment properly following all safety requirementsAttend work regularly according to assigned work scheduleComply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standardsComply with all security proceduresWear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this ContractAttend and participate in in-service training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional developmentAbility to operate computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as MaximoWork cooperatively with others in a manner which is positive, enthusiastic, respectful and courteousComply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specificationsSecondary Functions :
Perform inventory controlClean and maintain gym equipment and refill sanitizer wipesMaintain records and provide requested reportsMay be tasked to meet personnel that require escortingRelamping – trouble shoot any problems with LED strips are used within workstationsManage Information Board Cleaning of wall mount decorative items, frames, bulletin boards and display casesRecycling / Refuse Collection Points Moving crates, distribute crates to staff for self-movesDeploy Carpet Fans as needed to dry wet areasChange kitchen water filters every six monthsWhen needed while setting up a cubicle, clean glass , dust and vacuumPerform other duties and tasks as neededDuties, responsibilities, and tasks may change at any time with or without noticePhysical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands :

Education :
High School diploma or equivalent preferredApprenticeship training in plumbing, electricial, or HVAC requiredKnowledge painting and floor repair requirements and processesKnowledge of general carpentry and repairKnowledge of masonry and electrical workKnowledge of proper use of hand tools and power toolsKnowledge of safety and environmental requirements associated with tasks performedExperience :
