[job_card.job_description]Supervise, monitor, and control inmate activities within the facility Enforce rules, regulations, and safety procedures in accordance with department policies Conduct inmate counts, searches, and inspections of cells and common areas Escort inmates within the facility and to outside appointments or court appearances Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports Respond promptly to emergencies and disturbances Promote a safe, secure, and respectful environment for staff and inmates Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a high school diploma or GED Must be in good standing with the BMV No felony convictions on record Must successfully complete : Board interview Personal interview CVSA (Computer Voice Stress Analysis) Drug screening Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans. Job Summary : Supervises inmates in the St. Joseph County Jail in accordance with established policies, regulations, orders and procedures by performing the required duties.
