We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant or LPN to join our fertility and gynecology practice. This role will support both clinical and administrative functions, with a primary focus on coordinating surgical scheduling, assisting with pre- and post-operative care, securing authorizations, and ensuring accurate financial collections related to surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities :

• Schedule surgeries in coordination with provider, surgery centers, and hospitals.
• Arrange and confirm pre-operative and post-operative appointments for patients.
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for surgeries and procedures.
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery details, preparation instructions, and follow-up care.
• Pre-collect surgery-related payments and ensure accurate documentation of financial transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all pre-op requirements (labs, imaging, clearances) are completed.
• Answer patient inquiries and provide support with empathy and professionalism.
• Assist providers with general medical assistant duties as needed (rooming patients, vitals, charting, etc.).
• Assist with front office duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and practice policies in all patient and insurance interactions.
