Overview :
Providence Women's and Children's Services is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) to join a dedicated, well-established team at our Level III NICUs in Portland, Oregon. Candidates must have completed a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency. This position offers the opportunity to provide expert clinical management for high-risk neonates and infants, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver family-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and treat high-risk neonates and critically ill infants in Level III NICUs at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Providence Portland Medical Center.
- Exercise autonomous practice in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Support and participate in deliveries, providing essential bedside procedures.
- Educate families regarding neonatal health, care plans, and ongoing management.
- Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and support staff to ensure high-quality, family-centered care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and licensing requirements, including potential licensure in Oregon.
Qualifications :
Completion of a 12-month Neonatal PA fellowship or residency program.Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.Prior experience in neonatal intensive care, including delivery room procedures and managing critically ill neonates.Ability and willingness to obtain Oregon medical license if not already licensed.Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work autonomously.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Prior experience working in Level III NICUs preferred, especially in high-volume delivery settings.Benefits and Opportunities :
