Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an Automation Engineer in Midland, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical implementation of Tulip in customer sites : design, integrate, configure, test, and support.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, operations, and customer success teams to ensure smooth delivery and handoff.
  • Develop custom modules, connectors, or extensions to integrate Tulip with customer systems (ERP, MES, PLCs, sensors, etc.).
  • Perform data mapping, system integration, API development, and troubleshooting across customer systems.
  • Analyze customer requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and estimate effort.
  • Participate in proof-of-concepts and pilot deployments to validate feasibility and performance.
  • Document design decisions, architectures, and implementation guides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical / Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Several years (37+) of hands-on experience in software engineering, full-stack or system integration work.
  • Experience with Tulip systems and Software.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, data formats (JSON, XML), and integrations.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL), data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Experience interfacing with industrial systems / automation (PLCs, sensors, OPC-UA, IIoT) is a strong plus.

    • Compensation

  • $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience
