Housekeeper (Full-time or Part-time depending on your preference)

A prominent client in McLean, VA is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join their team.

You daily duties will include housekeeping and laundry and supporting the principals and House Manager. A willingness to assist with all aspects of caring for a fine home, a positive attitude, and pride in your work are key to thriving in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and deep cleaning throughout the home
• Perform proper care techniques for fine surfaces, artwork, antiques, and luxury materials
• Help with laundry, ironing, folding, and organizing closets and drawers
• Support meal prep (such as chopping vegetables or setting the table)
• Participate in household errands and assist with organizing supplies
• Help with guest service when the principals entertain

Qualifications

• Prior private housekeeping or luxury hospitality experience
• Takes direction well and is eager to learn the ways of this residence
• Friendly, hardworking, and respectful with a team-player mindset
• Discreet and trustworthy, with a sincere interest in private service
• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in a job well done
• Able to communicate clearly in English
• Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule:

• Hourly rate: $40-$45/hour, based on experience and skill set
• If full-time:
  • A comprehensive benefits package is offered including health, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) with match, and more
  • Typically, Monday-Friday, approx. 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or similar) when principals are not in residence
  • The principals are willing to guarantee either 35 or 40 hours/week depending on your preference
• If part-time:
  • This could be 3 x 8-hour days (24 hours/week), 5 x 5-hour days (25 hours/week), or 4 x 7-hour days (28 hours/week)
  • The principals are flexible and will work with the right candidate on a schedule that make sense for everyone
• • Flexibility required for longer hours and occasional weekends when principals are in residence (approximately 7 days/month)
  • Work-life balance is valued, with lighter weeks to offset periods of increased activity
