The Recreation-Activity Therapistinvolves adjunctive leadership of groups and activities across the spectrum of behavioral healthcare (Inpatient, Residential, Group Home), promoting mental health, wellness, recovery, and developmentof strengths. Adjunctive therapy is used alongside primary therapy to enhance its effectiveness and improve overall outcomes.

Full-time, Saturdays through Wednesdays (Shift will include Weekdays, Evenings, and Weekends)

MUST HAVE availability to attend an 8- business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Sciences, Social Services, related area required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of (3) year’s recent recreation/ acitivity therapy expertise in an in-patient environment highly preferred
• Current CTRS preferred
• Must complete and maintain training in CPR and Handle With Care Training*
• Aggression management, crisis intervention, and restraint training.

* Training may be obtained during first week of employment during new hire orientation.
