Senior Auto Appraiser

OBJECTIVE

To provide an efficient inspection, appraisal and settlement of automobile physical damage losses while providing a WOW! customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect, complete appraisals, and evaluate damage on vehicles throughout an assigned area. Relate appraisals to appropriate repair costs so as to have a significant positive effect on the overall profit picture of the company and provide quality service to the customer and aid in the retention of business.

Develop and maintain a high degree of knowledge of all physical damage contracts written by the companies, their various endorsements, exclusions, company procedures and accepted claim practices.

Develop and maintain a high level of accuracy in determining legitimate repair cost.

Attend and complete specific training courses designated by the company through the company-assigned vendor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum three to five years’ experience required. Must pass AIC 30 if less than five years’ experience as an Auto Appraiser with Farm Bureau Insurance. Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required. Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
