Associate Producer

CBS Miami is looking for a phenomenal, hardworking, and ambitious part-time Associate News Producer. You will assist producers with their newscasts on-air and on streaming. This includes writing and researching stories, formatting scripts, writing to video, selecting soundbites, and building graphics. You will also produce news cut-ins. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and editorial judgment, is able to multitask, and is creative.

Key Responsibilities:

Write for a variety of newscasts and select the appropriate video and sound to help tell the story.

Exhibit strong editorial judgment, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.

Stay on top of developments in assigned stories.

Produce daily news cut-ins.

Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Solid news judgment and a passion for news

Ability to work under deadlines

Knowledge of iNews is a plus

Bachelor's degree or currently working toward degree
