Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager

Our client is a well-established civil and structural engineering firm with a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest. They partner with architects, developers, and institutions across a range of markets to deliver complex, high-impact projects. They're looking for a Structural Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their structural engineering team.
Role Overview
In this role, you'll take the lead on structural projects from early concept through construction completion. You'll be responsible for :
Developing and coordinating structural designs using a variety of materials and systems
Producing and reviewing construction documents and calculations
Collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
Guiding in-house design teams, delegating work, and mentoring less-experienced engineers
Supporting performance-based design efforts and participating in the peer review process for complex / non-prescriptive building structures

Minimum Qualifications
MS in Civil / Structural Engineering (MSCE)
6+ years of structural design experience
S.E. license
Experience with performance-based design of tall buildings and / or seismic upgrades of existing structures
Familiarity with LATB, ASCE 41, and / or similar performance-based methodologies
Direct experience navigating the peer review process for non-prescriptive structural designs
Proven experience coordinating with architects and design consultants on commercial office, residential, and / or healthcare projects
Experience leading and directing an internal engineering team responsible for design drawings and calculations
Physical & Travel Requirements
Ability to drive to project sites as needed (primarily within the greater Seattle area)
Ability to travel domestically by air when required (projects outside the Seattle area, campus recruiting, conferences, etc.)
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods (reading, keying, and reviewing documents)
Ability to move about a typical office environment (standing, bending, reaching, twisting, squatting) and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, printer, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary : Approximately $110,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Strong potential for career growth and advancement, including opportunities to step into broader leadership roles
Additional compensation for hours worked over 40 per week (paid quarterly)
