KBR is seeking a SKILLBRIDGE INTERN Senior Engineering Technician (Engineering Technician 5) to join our esteemed onsite technical support team for Area Control Systems in NAS Jacksonville FL. This position is integral to operating and enhancing cutting-edge automated ATC surveillance systems and communications technologies that play a crucial role in air traffic management.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Troubleshoot field equipment failures for ACS equipment.

Documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Responsible for the performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of ACS equipment.

Responsible for test and evaluation training installation and logistic support for ACS branch and other designated systems subsystems and components associated with air traffic control and airspace management systems.

Must have Microsoft Office product proficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Citizenship & Clearance : Must have an Active / Current Secret Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Certification : CompTIA Security certification or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Education : High School Diploma or GED.

Experience : Eight (8) years of experience In automated ATC surveillance systems / ATC surveillance or communications systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Expertise in FACSFAC / IRSS and familiarity with critical platforms such as Navy FACTS STARS or Marine Corps IRSS. Knowledge of FOCIS EVTS LMMT VIDS ATC Radios and Communications Circuits will significantly enhance your ability to contribute to our mission and support operational excellence.

Experience in automated ATC surveillance systems / ATC surveillance or communications systems.

Experience FACSFAC / IRSS. Familiarity with Navy FACTS STARS or the Marine Corp IRSS platforms Familiarity with FOCIS EVTS LMMT VIDS ATC Radios Communications Circuits

Work shift : Nonstandard work shift evening or night shift and weekend work will be required.
