Job Description : Integrates knowledge, theory and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory and deliver accurate results in a timely manner. With advanced training, maintains competence in all Cytology practices, to perform pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of disease. May be responsible for specimen / material receipt, preparation, interpretation, and archival / retrieval, according to department policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with physicians, clients, and staff to facilitate superior patient care and to represent the laboratory positively by acting with courtesy, dignity, respect, and professionalism. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and / or orient other staff to the department. Requirements : ASCP-CT CA License Shift Details : 5x8s 0800-1630; no on call or weekends
