Cheeseman Transport is hiring CDL A local flatbed drivers in Pompano Beach, FL. Drivers will be locally delivering forklifts, batteries, tow motors and their parts on flatbed trailers. Cheeseman Transport is a leading provider of transportation and supply chain solutions that was founded in 1946 growing from a single truck to a fleet of over 325 tractors and 1000 trailers with multiple service centers. Compensation

  • Hourly pay rate : $29- $32
  • Average hours weekly : 40-50

Overtime pay after 40 hours

  • Bonuses :

    • Sign-on bonus : $1,500

  • Referral bonus : $5,000

  • Home Time : Home daily
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday
  • Shift : Starting around7am
  • Route : Delivering anywhere within a 250 mile radius of Pompano, FL
  • Level of Touch : Loading & unloading freight, must secure freight

    • Includes strapping, blocking, and chaining

    Equipment

  • Newer modeltrucks
  • Automatic transmission
  • Governed speed : 68mph
  • ELD equipped using Samsara
  • Outward facing camera

    • Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have 1 year of flatbeddriving experience
  • Must have hazmat & tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment
  • No felony in the past 7 years
  • No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Hiring Radius : Drivers must live within 40 miles of Pompano, FL
