The opportunity
Unity is expanding its platform support to new classes of devices and ecosystems based on other 3D engines. We’re establishing a new team, Platform Iteration, within the Platform organization. This team will evolve the architecture of simulation and play mode in the editor and build innovative features using Unity’s groundbreaking communication protocol, PolySpatial.
What you’ll be doing
Drive the execution and technical strategy of the team, as a manager and tech lead.
Collaborate internally with core engineering, design, graphics, and networking teams.
Communicate your team’s vision and progress, internally and externally.
Support your engineers as they advance in their career goals.
What we’re looking for
Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team.
A working knowledge of the internals of a high-end game engine (graphics, netcode, animation, script interpreters, compilers).
Experience as a software engineer with familiarity with C# and C++.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You might also have
Experience leading teams using Agile methodologies.
Experience leading distributed teams.
Experience interacting with industry partners outside your organization.
Experience with game or content creation software.
