A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to enhance clinical documentation completeness

Communicate with providers to clarify documentation requirements and obtain necessary specificity

Utilize Optum CDI 3D Technology for documentation and engage with HIM Coding Professionals for collaboration

Required Qualifications

BSN required if possessing an RN license

CCDS or CDIP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 to 12 months

5+ years of acute care hospital clinical RN experience or Medical Graduate with CDI experience and certification

3+ years of CDI experience in an acute care hospital setting
