Responsibilities
Inspect, assemble and evaluate all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure quality, determine need for repair / replacement, validate completeness of set, and facilitate effective sterilization.
Equipment Mastery : Operate sterilization systems and inspect instruments for peak function.
Decontamination : Sanitize soiled instruments and containers following strict protocols.
Instrument Accuracy : Assemble and verify instrument sets using tracking systems and count sheets.
Inventory Control : Manage high-level inventory to ensure seamless case cart availability.
Quality Advocacy : Lead peer audits to maintain top-tier quality assurance standards.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education :
Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
