• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: CoveredREQUIRED PROCEDURES• Inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases• Pre‑operative and postoperative rounding• Emergent weekend surgical cases as neededJOB REQUIREMENTS• Licenses: Active FL license required• Board: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery• DEA: Active DEA Certification• Certifications: BLS/ACLS as applicable• Experience: Cardiothoracic surgery experience required• Other Qualifications: Ability to collaborate with APPs; Lee Health Signed Attestation, Clean NPDB reportDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Perform inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases• Conduct pre‑operative and postoperative rounding with APP support• Cosign APP‑created progress notes and consult notes; add surgeon notes as needed• Provide weekend rounding (approximately one weekend per month)• Cover emergent weekend OR cases and respond to new consults• Participate in night call rotation (Mon–Thu) as assigned• Respond to ER, CVICU, and PA‑initiated calls when escalated
