Position Overview
The Detailer - Commercial Doors will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and specifications for commercial door systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that all project requirements are met with precision and accuracy, facilitating effective communication between the design, engineering, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawings for commercial door systems using specialized software.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to commercial doors.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications and installation instructions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve any design issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate hardware and materials for various door systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a detailer, specifically in commercial doors.
- Proficiency in software for hardware and detailing, such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of Division 8 specifications and commercial door requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy in drawings and specifications.
