Role Purpose:

The Network Manager, Information Technology, reports to the Head IT, and is responsible for identifying, recommending, developing, implementing, and supporting cost-effective technology solutions and resources for all aspects of Bank and Head Office operations. The incumbent of this position shall be responsible for adhering to the provisions stated in the Employee Accountability Policy Statement.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for job performance actions, which includes decision(s) impacting position responsibilities conforming to the bank’s risk appetite and tolerance levels as articulated in the bank's Risk Appetite & Tolerance Framework, mitigating violations or breaches to the bank’s risk appetite in the exercise of their empowerment and the achievement of desired job performance outcomes as directed by Management.
• Protects the integrity of the Bank by ensuring that it operates in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, abides by the Bank’s Code of Conduct, and promotes compliance in the way business is conducted.
• Provides leadership and direction regarding Bank IT systems, including hardware, software, network systems, troubleshooting and security.
• Maintains effective working relationships with equipment suppliers, maintenance service providers, software support groups and other vendors.
• Provides technical support for IT related installations and upgrades as appropriate.
• Ensures adequate and relevant IT contingency and disaster recovery plans are maintained, executed, and updated, as needed.
• Ensures the IT Department operates in accordance with Bank policies and procedures and maintains acceptable audit standards; identifies areas of potential risk exposure and recommends and implements corrective action as appropriate.
• Assists in budget preparation and planning with respect to IT, such as equipment and staffing, to ensure business needs are met.
• Ensures IT Department provides satisfactory support to the Bank; directs the timely performance of all aspects of IT operational and control functions.
• Ensures adequate and effective anti-viral monitoring activities and ensures IT systems are secure.
• Plans and implements IT projects and non-routine efforts as appropriate.
• Supervises Database Administrator and Computer Systems Analyst and ensures professional development and training of such employees.

BSA/AML Responsibilities:

• Participate in relevant BSA/AML trainings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in applied science or related field
• Seven years of management experience in business applications and network administration
• Experience with international banking applications, MS Windows environment, firewalls, and switches
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle, IBM Client/Access, IBM AIX, Microsoft Windows Server
• Working knowledge of international banking data processing operations, including SWIFT application
• Working knowledge of telecommunications, LAN architecture and configuration and network and application security industry standards
• Working knowledge of relational database structure
• Demonstrated ability to manage installation and upgrades of hardware and software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills
• Sound judgment
