Shipping Clerk

Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our printing/packaging operations team. The successful candidate will coordinate daily shipping activities, ensure accurate order fulfillment, manage carrier relationships, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced printing environment.
**
Key Responsibilities:**
-Prepare and label finished print products to customers and distributors.
-Verify orders against packing slips and shipment manifests, check quantities, SKUs, dimensions, and special handling instructions.
-Select appropriate shipping methods and carriers; negotiate freight costs when applicable.
-Maintain accurate shipping records in the system and generate necessary shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, customs paperwork for international shipments).
-Coordinate with manager to confirm readiness for shipment and delivery timelines.
-Inspect packaging materials and pallets for safety and compliance; apply proper stretch wrap, banding, and protective packaging.
-Prepare and stage shipments for pick-up; schedule carrier pickups and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
-Manage returned goods procedures, restocking, and disposition of non-conforming items.
-Monitor inventory of shipping supplies; place orders to maintain adequate stock.
-Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards in the warehouse/shipping area.
-Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory as needed.
Support continuous improvement by suggesting process optimizations to reduce damage, improve accuracy, and speed up throughput.

Qualifications :

-Must have experience shipping internationally and domestically

-Experience with FedEx/UPS Systems
-2+ years of shipping/warehousing experience, preferably in the printing or packaging industry.
-Familiarity with printing workflows, finishing processes, and typical packaging requirements for printed materials.
-Proficient computer skills; experience with ERP/WMS systems and shipping software; strong MS Office skills.
-Bilingual is a plus.
-Ability to read and interpret packing lists, invoices, and shipment documentation.
-Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple

shipments and maintain production schedules.

-Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment safely.
