LIVE-IN Angel Caregiver

"Angel" is in our company name. We are a heart-centered agency that cares for our caregivers and clients alike. Visiting Angels in White Plains, NY is looking for Live-in HHA/PCA/Companion caregivers who have dementia experience throughout Westchester County. Our Angels have named us an Employer of Choice for three years in a row! We are looking for Live-in Angels who drive.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist with ambulation/mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Prepare meals
• Perform light-housekeeping duties
• Companionship and other activities to engage with clients

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Ability to perform all essential job functions
• Act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Licensed and insured to drive
