Museum Collections Volunteer

LIKE STUFF? COLLECTION VOLUNTEERS AT THE MUSEUM OF BOULDER GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE REAL THINGS!

Current projects can include processing recent donations to the Museum's permanent collection, working with items from the March 22, 2021 shooting in Boulder, updating the Museum's collection database to put it online for the public, photographing objects, research, installing and de-installing exhibits, inventorying the collection, and much much more!

The Perfect Fit : Someone who shows an appreciation for history, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We also look for people with a good sense of humor, an enthusiasm and respect for museums, Boulder history and the Museum of Boulder's collections.

Commitment : The Museum expects volunteers to attend an initial collections training before committing 8 to 10 hours a week primarily on Wednesdays and Thursdays on site for a period of 1 semester or 6 months. All volunteers working with the collection are asked to undergo a background check.
