Tax Manager

Well established Tempe, AZ CPA firm is looking for a tax manager with previous public accounting experience. Applicants must be a CPA with extensive knowledge of preparation of individual and business tax returns. We use QuickBooks, CCH Axcess Tax, Prosystem Fx Engagement, Microsoft office products and Fixed Assets CS. Responsibilities:

• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Develop and sustain excellent client relationships
• Review and supervise the preparation of business and individual tax returns
• Assist and track progress on all tasks associated with engagements
• Mentor and train team members
• Work directly with 3rd parties such as attorneys, brokers, IRS, etc.
• Billing
• Conduct annual team performance reviews
• Promote operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting and EA or CPA License preferred
• Proficient in business and individual taxation
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Strong organizational techniques
• Capable of managing multiple client engagements in addition to completing tasks related to business development
• Comfortable with preparation and leading of team meetings
• Knowledge of multi-state taxation preferred
