Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex enterprise network environment in Arlington, TX. This is a fully onsite role requiring strong hands-on expertise with Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking and deep experience in Cisco ACI, particularly around network segmentation and policy-based design.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of enterprise architecture, routing/switching, and secure segmentation strategies within a modern data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise L2/L3 network infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot switching and routing protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Cisco ACI fabric environments
• Design and maintain network segmentation strategies using ACI constructs (EPGs, Contracts, VRFs, Tenants)
• Implement micro-segmentation and policy-based security models
• Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and monitoring
• Support firewall integration and inter-VRF routing
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, segmentation, and traffic flow issues
• Participate in change management, documentation, and network design reviews
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure secure and scalable network architecture

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking concepts
• Proven experience with:
  • VLANs, trunking, STP
  • OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • HSRP/VRRP
  • ACLs and routing policies
• 3+ years of experience working with Cisco ACI
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing network segmentation using Cisco ACI
• Experience working in enterprise data center environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, and segmentation policies
• Experience with Cisco Nexus switching platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP or CCIE certificationExperience integrating ACI with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, etc.)
• Experience with multi-site or multi-pod ACI deployments
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform)
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, DNAC, etc.)
