Our client is looking for an Account Manager with 5-7 years of PR experience to join their team! This role involves managing clients, overseeing strategic plan execution, leading a results-driven team, and mentoring junior team members.

The ideal candidate has strong relationships with travel, lifestyle, and trade media, as well as KOLs in art, design, gastronomy, and fashion. Experience in luxury travel and hospitality is required. Knowledge of Africa, wellness, sustainability, and thought leadership is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring top-tier client service and project management.
  • Support the development and execution of integrated PR strategies that align with client goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press materials including press releases, media alerts, and pitches.
  • Secure regular, high-quality media placements and manage tracking and reporting of results.
  • Prepare client-facing documents including recaps, monthly reports, and strategic recommendations.
  • Supervise work for 1–2 junior team members, providing feedback and mentorship.
  • Lead or contribute to brainstorms, story mining, and creative campaign planning.
  • Support crisis communications and provide thoughtful, timely counsel to clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for clients to participate in timely conversations.
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including proposal writing and participation in pitches.
  • Represent the company at industry events in NYC.
  • Organize media events for clients influencing deskside meetings as well as group lunches and dinners.
  • Work from our Midtown NYC office three days per week (Monday–Wednesday).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of PR experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish across multiple disciplines.
  • Expertise in the luxury industry, with a strong earned media portfolio.
  • Established relationships with media and influencers in travel, lifestyle, and luxury markets.
  • 4+ years managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong track record in developing and executing PR campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling ability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Pinterest).
  • A team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset.
