About the Role :

The Coding Analyst at Jewett Orthopedic Institute Surgery Center, FL11, plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient medical coding for surgical procedures and related healthcare services. This position is responsible for translating complex clinical documentation into standardized codes that comply with regulatory requirements and support optimal reimbursement. The Coding Analyst collaborates closely with healthcare providers, billing teams, and compliance officers to maintain data integrity and facilitate smooth revenue cycle operations. By meticulously reviewing patient records and applying coding guidelines, the analyst helps minimize claim denials and supports quality reporting initiatives. Ultimately, this role contributes to the financial health of the surgery center while upholding the highest standards of coding accuracy and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in an orthopedic or surgical setting.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
