Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and current California licensure for comprehensive imaging responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital CT department serving neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patientsCoordinate and perform Computerized Tomography studies and assist with CT-guided proceduresDay, evening, and night shifts available, including weekend coverageShifts are 4x10 hours with typical start times of 13 : 30 or 21 : 30Expected to manage high risk and critically ill patients as part of the caseloadUtilizes PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrievalEpic EMR experience is preferred but not requiredPerform and coordinate quality CT studies according to physician protocols and clinical historyAssist with CT-guided procedures and ensure accurate charge capture and documentation in the EHRAssess and educate patients, addressing concerns before procedure executionDemonstrate knowledge of and compliance with Federal, State, and local regulatory requirementsNon-supervisory role adhering to all institutional policies and compliance programsOnly one holiday time-off request will be approved per assignmentMust be available for pre-employment lab work within 3-5 days of signingReturning travelers must be gone for at least one year before reapplying50-mile travel radius required; local candidates accepted at adjusted local rateOrientation includes completion of online modules (1-5 hours on average) during trainingRequirements
Successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology or Associate's in Radiologic SciencesCalifornia Radiologic Technologist License required if applicableMinimum 2 years of CT experience, preferably in an acute care facilityCurrent ARRT (Radiography), ARRT (CT), CRT, IV Certification, and AHA BLS requiredRadiology Fluoroscopy permit required within 180 days of hireExperience with cross-sectional anatomy, venipuncture, contrast administration, and medication safetyProficiency in multiple computer systems and PACS is expectedAll certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of considerationBenefits
